2003 – Lorne Rubenstein, golf columnist and host of TSN Acura World of Golf hosts the 17th annual Urban Angel Golf Classic at the Angus Glen Golf Club on July 9, 2003. Chaired by Foundation Board member Chris Wright, the event surpassed its goal by $13,000, raising $513,000 for the Hospital.

2004 – Q107 radio personality John Derringer was host for the 2004 tournament at Angus Glen. Tournament chair Darryl White announces $703,000 in proceeds, over target by $103,000 largely because of two successful raffles for Toronto Maple Leafs season tickets.

2005 – Darryl White takes on a second year as chair on July 6, 2005 at the 19th annual hospital golf charity event, raising $540,000—again exceeding its goal by $40,000. In 2005, the tournament welcomes nine new sponsors, 13 signature sponsors and Olympians Kate Pace Lindsay, Karen Stemmle and Desai Williams.

2006 – Foundation Board member Michael Thompson volunteers as chair of the 2006 Urban Angel Golf Classic, raising $654,000 for St. Michael’s Hospital. Held on July 5, 2006, the event introduces 20 signature sponsors and surpasses its goal by $40,000.

2007 – Thanks a million to everyone who supported the 21st Urban Angel Golf Classic on July 17, 2007. St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation hit a milestone by raising more than $1 million to support Hospital priorities. Tournament chair Michael Thompson and vice-chair John Manning chair the million-dollar event at the Angus Glen Golf and Country Club, home of the 2007 Canadian Open. Middlefield Group became the largest presenting sponsor in the history of the tournament. Participants were thrilled by the opportunity to meet hockey legend Bobby Orr at a special “photo opportunity” hole.

2008 – On July 16th, the St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation for a second year in a row netted over $1 million.
